We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, and Spectrum Infant and Toddler Montessories was founded in 2009 specifically to service children age 6 weeks through preschool, giving young children a safe & developmentally enriched environment to learn. What makes Spectrum Infant and Toddler Montessories unique is that 50% of our enrollment in our near-site, non profit, true workforce solution child care centers will be infants and toddlers. Nationwide only 5% of child care center capacity is for this age group. We are a True Workforce Solution.
We have launched a Capital Campaign to raise $10 million to build 4 child care centers in Orange County. Each facility will house 160 children, enabling us to provide high quality care that is developmentally focused for working families serving their children's needs from 6 weeks through preschool. The new facilities will benefit working families by meeting the critical shortage of licensed child care spaces for infants and toddlers and the growing need for child care close to work.
The work of Spectrum Infant and Toddler Montessories' board is largely done at the committee level. No matter what your passion, human resources, legal, finance, public relations, government relations, land development, architecture, early childhood education Spectrum Infant and Toddler Montessories has an outlet for your talents, passion and energy. Committee members do not have the same fiduciary responsibilities as board members. Committee member terms are self-determined. Serving on a committee is a great opportunity to interact with Orange County's top level executives, decision makers and visionaries from public and private companies, who share your interest in the welfare of children.
Standing committees include Executive Committee, Board Development Committee, Fund Development Committee, Finance Committee, Audit Committee, Human Resource Committee, Government Relations Committee, Public Relations Committee, Marketing Committee, Site Selection & Facility Development Committee, Program Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee.
The organization shall have such other committees as may from time to time be designated by resolution of the board of directors. Such other committees may consist of persons who are not also members of the board.
Committees shall act in an advisory capacity only to the board and shall be clearly titled 'advisory' committees.
